Our Home

The outdoor lift, zero-entry porch, and 3-foot doorway ensure seamless access for wheelchair users to our home. Furthermore, a built-in lift in the parking area below the house assists those who need help transitioning into a beach wheelchair.

Just off the Master bedroom is the fully accessible en suite.  Here you will find a large roll-in shower with over head shower head & hand held wand, grab bars and shower bench. We have grab bars at toilet, a built in patient lift to assist those who might need help transferring, this toilet also features a bidet, and roll under cabinetry to complete the accessibilty features

Located in the hallway outside the upstairs king master suite you will find the bunk beds.  2 twin size bunk beds, each with their own tv. Perfect for the kids late night games or streaming. This area also provides extra storage along with games & books for you to enjoy during your stay.

Need a break from the beach?  Enjoy a swim in the seasonally heated salt water pool!  Complete the day with a lunch by the pool & don't forget to take advantage of the outdoor restrooms for your convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the width of the doors?

    The front door opening  is 35" with a zero entry threshold. 

    The opening into the accessible downstairs master is 34"along with the opening into the ensuite. 


  • What is the bed height in the accessible bedroom?

    The  downstairs king size bed is 31" from the floor to the top of the extremely comfortable mattress.  There is 9" under the bed for any assisstive device that you may choose to bring such as a hoyer lift.  

  • What is a patient lift device?

    We have installed 2 patient transfer poles inside the house and 1 underneath to assist anyone who needs help transferring. These require the use of motorized patient lift.  There are various brands, available to rent from your local medical supply. We use the brand Voyager, incase you would like to look these up on Google to get a better ideal of what they are.  They can attach to the poles which swivel and rotate to transfer he individual.  These can be used in place of the trditional hoyer device. 

  • Are beach wheelchairs available?

    YES!!! There are beach wheelchairs both manual & powered avaliable to rent from local companies. They will even deliver these right to the home for you!  If you need any assistance getting to the beach or while at the beach, beach patrol is also available to help.  There are mobi mats in a few areas that even allow a regular wheelchair access to the beach.  

  • Is there room for caregivers?

    Absolutely! With almost 2,000 sq ft. 4 bedrooms 4.5 baths there is room for the entire family!  This home comfortably sleeps 12, allowing the family to join together to make memories to last a lifetime!

  • Is there any baby equipment?

    Yes!  For those traveling with little ones, we provide a pack 'n play with sheets, along with a portable high chair.  We also have toddler plates, bowls, sippy cups, even silverware!  To help keep the little explorers safe, we have baby gates at the top and bottom of the interior stair case.  

  • Is there beach equipment provided?

    Yes, we have 6 beach chairs avaliable for your use, along with a beach cart, umbrellas  and cooler. Various sand toys & shovels for the kids, as well as pool floats and indoor and outdoor games!
